DROP is an
Atlanta jam band known for catchy originals, familiar covers and funky
psychedelic improvisational jams.
DROP was formed in 1995 and has spent the last 11
years celebrating the music and spirit of the Grateful Dead
for 3+ hours per show at small- to medium-size venues.

Born
out of the foam of the Indian Ocean and gravitated musically to the
cello at age 5. Guitar noodling began on Halloween at age 11. Pedal
Steel took over for a few years (blame it on Jerry and Buddy Emmons).
Twenty or so psychedelic bands came and went in cities as far flung as
Honolulu, Seattle, D.C. and Orlando... and then DROP was formed in late
1995.

Started
playing guitar at age 8, drums at 9, bass at 10, learned keyboards at
11, and picked up harmonica at 13. Grew up in Miami and participated in
many musical projects in South Florida, including lead guitar in
original band Rockbottom, session work for
TK Productions and Criteria Studios, and worked for WAXY-FM radio for
several years. Moved to Atlanta in fall of 1995. A career with Ricoh
keeps him busy when not
playing in DROP.
Other
interests include magazine/web/internet/new media design &
implementation, advanced scuba diving, sailing and microbrews.
